A family from Gatundu North is experiencing pain and shock after their 25-year-old son, a soldier of the National Defense Force (KDF), allegedly killed his wife a few hours after the two went to take romantic photos.

Daniel Mburu, who was serving in Samburu County, allegedly killed his wife, Eunice Waruguru, 28, before turning the gun on himself.
Speaking to Kameme TV, the family of the soldier KDF it said that the two got into a relationship three years ago and that although they had problems, they were in love and always enjoyed touring together.
“We were sorry to receive the sad news, we were told that Daniel Mburu and his wife had died, we were told that the incident happened at dawn on Sunday, they were not angels, and so yes, there were issues here and there. However, those issues were not serious, I am shocked by this,” his father said.
The family said they were saddened by the news and added that they never imagined that Mburu, whom they described as a calm person, could do such a thing.

The details shared show that on Friday, March 6, a day before their death, the couple took romantic photos, where they expressed their love for each other.
In the pictures that are going viral on social media, the pictures of the couple had a traditional Kikuyu theme, according to their clothing.
Their wide smiles, public displays of affection and warmth came through in their photos, little did they know that those photos would be some of their last moments together.
“Since they started dating three years ago, I never saw them fight. They were always in love and traveling to Naivasha for fun times. I can’t believe this happened,” another family member said.
The couple left behind a three-year-old child.
