A man has shown his deep love for his wife with a lovely gesture as they celebrated the new pages of their family.

Although many men would give their spouses houses, cars, or expensive phones, Yakobo Luago could not afford the gifts he desired.

The 24-year-old man could only give his wife a chicken as a gift for giving birth, fulfilling a promise he had made to her while she was still pregnant.

“In our house there is no work or any opportunity, you cannot do anything because a refugee is a person who is alive but lives like a prisoner, you are not allowed to do many things, however I gathered myself and managed to find a chicken to give to my wife, I worked hard and I was able to do it because it was a promise I had to fulfill. I wondered what kind of gift I could give her, but I was able to give her according to my ability,” he said.

Jacob talks about expectations after marriage

Jacob and his wife welcomed their first child together two years into their marriage, silencing rumors and critics who questioned their parentage.

The new father noted that they received their child in difficult circumstances, as there have been many rumors in their community about their inability to have children.

“According to our traditions, after three months of marriage, the wife is expected to be pregnant. We were not lucky enough to get such news earlier, but here we are,” he said.
