New CCTV images tracking the movements of his car throughout the day have taken a big step forward in the investigation of potential suspects.
Ong’ondo was killed on the night of April 30, 2025, just a few minutes after leaving the parliament building.
KTN News obtained tapes from many institutions and channels connected to the National Assembly, showing how the suspected killers followed the car of the former lawmaker to the scene of his murder.
Ong’ondo arrived at the parliament buildings at 6.39 am on the day of the disaster, wearing normal clothes and in a car with registration number KDD 244V.
According to the investigation, Ong’ondo was heading to the gym.
After about 10 minutes, his driver, Walter Owino, returned the car to his home in Karen and, as instructed by the former member of parliament, took the former member of parliament’s son’s car, a Toyota Crown, KDM 783A.
Ong’ondo allegedly changed the cars for fear of his life. Owino returned to parliament at 8.37 am and parked at Ukulima Grounds. A few minutes after noon, a car pulled out of the parking lot.

According to investigators, the vehicle was transporting suspected killers while others followed behind on motorcycles.
At 1551 hours, the car was parked next to the car of the former MP for about eight minutes before leaving the Harambee Avenue parking lot.
A short time later, a man whose identity is still unknown and has never been questioned in connection with the murder met with the suspect.
A few minutes to 1600 hours, the suspected killer’s car was pulled out and parked looking at the former MP’s car for about five minutes.
The car was then taken out and parked near the guard house for three minutes.
Between 1617 and 1622 hours, a man wearing a check shirt, blue pants, and brown boots carrying a sling bag got out of the suspect’s car and crossed Bunge Road towards where Ong’ondo’s car was parked.
He spent about two minutes before returning to the car. Investigators believe that Ong’ondo’s bodyguard, Allan Omondi Ogolla, met the murder suspects at the scene.
