A 25-year-old photojournalist and communications officer died in a fatal helicopter crash in Nandi county along with his boss and four other victims.

The helicopter crashed in Chepkieb area of ​​Mosop, Nandi County, on February 28.

He was a graduate of Maseno University, and Kosgeu was a rising star in the media fraternity and served as a dedicated visual storyteller.

His funeral was attended by the Member of Parliament for Kapseret Oscar Sudiand a touching moment from one of Nick’s best friends has broken hearts.

A close friend of the late photographer Nerea was heartbroken when he was praising his friend. He was supported by two other friends.

What did Nick’s best friend say?

Nerea fought back tears to praise her friend, admitting that Nick was not only her friend but her confidant.

He was saddened that he died when things were going well for him in his profession.

“For anyone who ever knew Nick and also knew me. They knew how much I appreciated Nick. He was not only my friend but also my confidante. He was the only person I can say I really loved. Even after his death. It surprised me because I did not expect anything like that at any time. In fact, it was when he started to enter the right path,” he said.

Nerea also added that Nick always reminded her of the reasons why she needed to work hard. His family depended on him.

“Nick really loved his family. He shared a lot with me about whatever the family was going through, and one thing he told me was ‘I’m committed because of where I come from.’ He was saying that he loved his mother very much as well as his father. We also loved him too,” he said.

The girl noted that she really liked him and their group of friends would respect Nick because he was destined to be great.

“Thank you to the parents for blessing us with someone we respected. Someone we would look up to and see that he was destined for greatness. It is sad that his life had to be cut short. There is nothing we can do now but accept it even though it will be difficult. Thank you all. Nick I love you so much, may your soul rest in peace,” he added.

He spoke during the MP’s funeral on Friday, March 6.

Ruto also ordered Sportpesa’s wife Ronoh to be employed in the Ministry of Agriculture.
