Tears, songs and silent reflection filled as thousands gathered in Narok to bid farewell to Emurua MP Dikirr Johanna Ng’eno.

The MP who served three terms was buried on Friday, March 6, at his Mogondo home in his constituency in Narok county.
The emotional funeral followed a farewell ceremony that attracted thousands of residents, leaders and friends who came out to honor the speaker.
Ng’eno died on Saturday, February 28, after a helicopter crashed in Chepkiep area of Mosop, Nandi county. The accident resulted in the death of five other passengers: Amos Kipngetich Rotich, Nicholas Kosgey, Wycliffe Kiprotich Rono, Robert (Carlos) Keter and Captain George Were.
Ng’eno’s burial site in his Mogondo residence turned into a sea of sadness as mourners struggled to accept the tragedy.
Family members, residents and political leaders wept in public while others stood silently contemplating as the casket was lowered into the ground.
President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithur Kindiki led the delegation of the national government in the event.
