The mother was seen attacking the little girl, pushing her hard as the child struggled to keep her balance and defend herself.

The Naivasha SGBV Network Team arrested the mother

The mother appeared angry as she slapped the girl for a few seconds before walking away, warning her daughter.

Community builder and youth advocate Simon Wakaba, who shared the video, later shared positive news about the case, noting that the mother had been arrested.

“We want to confirm that the matter has already been reported and is currently being handled by the Naivasha Gender Desk. We commend the Naivasha SGBV Group Network Team for their quick and coordinated response. Their quick action shows the importance of strong community systems in protecting our children.

The relevant officials are taking the necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of the child and prevent such incidents from happening again. This should be a great reminder to all parents and guardians that violence is not discipline. There are better, safer, and more constructive ways to guide and correct our children,” he said.
