Johana Ng’eno: The last minutes of the victim who tried to jump from the chopper during the accident

The family of the forester who died along with five other people, including the Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr Johana Ng’eno, has painfully recounted his last moments.

A helicopter crash occurred on Saturday, February 28, in Mosop, Nandi, killing all on board.

Although other victims are reported to have died immediately after the accident, one passenger, Amos Rotich, a young forester, is reported to have died about half an hour after the accident.

This was confirmed by his family early Wednesday March 4, during a service to honor all the victims.

A family member revealed that Amos tried to save his life by jumping from the helicopter.

“During the accident, Amos tried to jump from the helicopter. He was the one who survived for about 30 minutes, but it didn’t help. When he was questioned by witnesses, he asked only one question. He asked ‘Where is the gentleman?’ He was told directly that the gentleman had already died. He said, ‘If Johana Ng’eno is dead, then there is no reason for me to continue living.’ A few minutes later he breathed his last,” said the family member.

The family expressed their sadness that Amos’ life was cut short when his star was just beginning to shine.

This news has come when the WhatsApp status posted by Amos three hours before his death has hurt the hearts of many people on social networks.

On Saturday at 1:19 pm, Amos uploaded a photo of himself inside the helicopter. Next to him was Carlos, a teacher who also died in the accident.

The forester looked happy in the photo, where he teased Carlos in the caption of the photo.

A witness recounts the efforts to save Amos

One witness also recently narrated the efforts of the people to save Amos after the accident.

The woman, who is the mother of a nursing student who was praised for her efforts at the crash site, said that after the helicopter crashed, she used sheets and clothes from her home to cover the bodies of the passengers.

“He lived for about 30 minutes. The nurse who tried to save his life is my daughter. We tried hard to save him, but it was not possible. I offer my condolences to all those who lost their loved ones,” said the witness.

In other news, Carlos’ close friend, the teacher who died in the helicopter crash, recently shared the weekend plans they had planned together.

The friend, Earnest, revealed that they had planned to meet that weekend, not knowing that fate had planned something tragic for Carlos’ life.

In their conversation a few days before the accident, Carlos also praised MP Johana Ng’eno.
