The MP died on February 28 after the helicopter he was traveling in crashed in Nandi, killing all six people on board.

A close friend and mentee of the late member of parliament, identified as GK Kechwo, revealed that he survived the Nandi helicopter crash by just five minutes.

Kechwo explained that the motorcycle he was traveling on had a flat tire on the way to the reception area at Mara Rianta, which delayed his arrival and prevented him from boarding the plane that claimed the lives of six people.

How did Raila Odinga help Johana Ng’eno?

In the video that surfaced again, Raila spoke to Ng’eno and reminded him to believe in the spirit of democracy, something that left the guests delighted.

“This Ngong is my friend, he is my boy. He forgot to tell them that I paid for his university fees when he was studying. So he is someone I have known for a very long time. I have been talking to him for a long time. The only thing I forgot to tell him is to be disciplined. Even when you confront your partner, don’t involve his mother or father. Talk about the person himself, but leave his parents out of it,” said Raila.

He then reminded Ng’eno that democracy allows people to say things even if they don’t agree with them, and also gives others the right to respond.
