“I will not let you down. I know your spirit is with us wherever you are. I just have to accept that you are gone and gone forever, go well, my love,” he wrote.

Who was Sportpesa Ronoh?

Sportpesa Ronoh was more than just a political lover. He was one of MP Johana Ng’eno’s trusted assistants, a person behind the scenes who helped plan the MP’s movements and constituency activities.

An employee of the Narok County Government in the Governor’s Office, Ronoh spent most of his time supporting Ng’eno’s work.

His friends say he was a link between the MP and the people, a reliable organizer who kept the schedule and doors open.

“When you asked Ngong for anything, be it his schedule, help, meeting him or anything, he would tell you to remind him through Sportpesa,” wrote Karen Chepkendy in a tribute.

Before joining the county government, Ronoh worked as a teacher, a profession that reflected his patience and reliability.

Those who knew him say he would travel all night just to make sure Ng’eno meetings were properly organized. But more than politics and public service, first he was a family man.

As the investigation into the accident continues, Chepkoech’s promise highlights the quiet courage of many widows left behind by sudden tragedy, the vow to raise their children, bear the burden and honor the memory of the man they loved.

For Ronoh’s family, the loss is not measured in titles or political roles, but in empty seats at the dinner table, unanswered phone calls and children who will grow up with stories instead of a father’s hug.

How did Sportpesa Ronoh die?

Ronoh was accompanying Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, Johana Ng’eno on a public visit on Saturday, February 28, when their helicopter crashed killing everyone on board.

Details indicate that the chopper, operated by Youth Aviation, made an emergency landing and crashed shortly after takeoff.
