The legendary Congolese musician, Koffi Olomide has officially passed away after tying the knot with his longtime girlfriend, fellow singer Cindy Le Coeur.

The couple, who had been dating for nearly twenty years, exchanged vows in a civil ceremony on Saturday, February 28, surprising fans around the world who had never seen them officially tie the knot.

Olomide, popularly known as the King of Ndombolo, shared the news on his page Instagramposting videos of the lavish party.

At the age of 69, she looked just like the king as she stepped out in cream trousers, a cream coat with gold accents, a gold shirt, white heeled boots and shades.

Cindy, 43, matched her outfit with her royal powers, wearing cream trousers teamed with a pink and cream top and a sleek bang that accentuated her beauty.

“We were all cute and dressed up, glowing as ever. Sweet as ever,” Olomide said in the post.

The couple arrived at a luxurious private venue in a Mercedes S-Class, showing the high standard of their lives.

Olomide came down to the ring with confidence, holding hands with his daughter, Minou Olomide, while Cindy also followed after a while, all of them very happy.

Although not a traditional white wedding, the civil ceremony was attended by close friends and family.

The couple exchanged vows in front of a Congolese government official and their witnesses. Laughter filled the room when Olomide placed the ring on Cindy’s finger, muttering a few funny words in French that left the audience gasping and laughing.

The union was sealed with several loving kisses before the couple signed their marriage certificate and proudly showed off their rings.
