The body of the Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr, Johanna Ngeno Kipyegon, whose tragic death on Saturday evening left the nation in mourning has arrived in Nairobi.

Ngeno died in a helicopter crash that occurred at 10:45 pm (4:45 pm) on February 28 in Chepkiep, Mosop Constituency, Nandi County, along with the pilot and four other passengers. His photographer, Nick Kosgei, was among the dead.
Who is Johanna Ngeno’s wife?
The 54-year-old Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, who was serving his third term, was married to one wife, Nayianoi Ntutu Ngeno.
The Kipsigis leader married fellow lawyer Nayianoi in a lavish wedding held on August 18, 2018 at Emurua Dikirr Secondary School, Narok County.
The two were blessed with two beautiful daughters.
Nayianoi comes from the famous Ntutu family. She is the daughter of Livingstone Ole Ntutu, half-brother of former Narok senator Stephen Ntutu and Patrick Ntutu, governor of Narok County.
Did Johanna Ngeno’s wife speak after her husband’s death?
The mother of two was seen in public for the first time on Sunday, March 1, at her home in Nairobi after politicians visited her.
Ntutu, dressed in a matching blouse and trousers, a long beige jacket and open-toed shoes, looked downcast during the MPs’ visit to his home.
He was seen talking to some members of the funeral committee of the Parliament in their large compound.
Kenyans console the widow of Johanna Ngeno
Many sympathized with the young mother, praying for her strength to be strong for her children.
Julius Kamau said: “There is nothing as painful as going to bed while married and waking up a widow. May the wife of Ngeno have peace beyond human understanding.”

Johanna Ngeno’s last message to his wife
In another statement, Ngeno shared a video of his family’s happiness during his wife’s birthday on February 22.
The Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, who was elected for the first time in 2023, posted a video with his wife and their children celebrating Ntutu’s birthday, wishing him well and a long life.
In the video, the Member of Parliament fed his wife cake before feeding their children and family members present.
