How much did Willis Raburu give in the Ombija event?

His deep connection with the state comes from his past history, having worked as a conductor of three in Nyakach before gaining fame in the media.

In a new video shared on TikTok and @Eng John Machacharia, Raburu was seen addressing residents and entertaining them with his wit.

“Where are the young people? Yuthe! Yuthe! Yuthe! Yuthe! This is our time. Today, I have come for a short visit. Trevor is my best friend. But I will return, and we will have a meeting like this and eat, with stomach and pocket. But we leave everything to God. We will plan and return,” he said.

He then encouraged the crowd to chant his famous tag line ‘Wabebe’ before handing back the microphone and returning to his seat. However, the women started shouting, forcing him to come back.

“I heard you are all asking for gumboots, I am giving KSh 20,000 for gumboots,” he said as the women cheered in the background.

Was Trevor Ombija prayed for?

Elsewhere, Ombija, in December 2025, shared a video of himself undergoing serious prayers while preparing for the Nyakach parliamentary contest in the 2027 general election.

In the clip, a man of God wearing a yellow robe held his hands at a construction site, a move that Ombija captioned “Nyakach has accepted,” indicating strong local support.

The journalist is aiming to succeed the current member of parliament, Joshua Aduma, and has already started winning over residents with strong campaign promises, such as reducing school fees to KSh 1,000 per term.
