A Kenyan mother has told how she fired her nanny, after watching on the home CCTV what she did while she was at work.

The businessman said that at first, he was passing through TikTok and came across videos of the nanny making things while wearing her clothes.
In the TikTok video, she said the domestic worker would wait until she was out of the house and would raid her wardrobe to steal her clothes to make videos inside or go on TikTok ‘live’.
“When she first came here, she would wear very beautiful, floor-length dresses that covered her whole body. But later I realized that when I left home, she would wear short dresses and also wear my own clothes to make TikTok videos,” he said.
“I saw several TikToks where he was wearing my things, and in others, he was using baby towels and my normal jeans. I was very angry,” the woman added.
The next day, she confronted the nanny and asked her why she was wearing her clothes. The local employee apologized and promised not to do it again.
“So I didn’t fire him then because he was remorseful. But a week later, I had to let him go after I discovered what he had done,” the businessman added.
Why did a Kenyan woman fire her maid on the spot
A week later, the Kenyan mother was forced to fire the domestic worker after her CCTV footage showed what happened during the day when she was away.
The woman said she returned from work in the evening and found her child feeling unwell with a bad fever.
“I tried to ask the nanny how she failed to notice that the child was sick, but she said she just didn’t know. This was surprising because she is a mother of two who I thought had had a fever before. However, I let it slide, and we rushed the child to the hospital,” she said.
The next morning, he checked the video from the home’s CCTV to see what had happened while he was away.
“And that’s when I came across a video clip of my child crying with difficulty, and the nanny completely ignored those cries and did not go to check if the child was okay. He cried for about 20 minutes before the nanny decided to go check on him. I was very heartbroken when I watched that,” he said.
The mother said she had to fire the nanny immediately, as she did not seem to care about the child.

The woman said she was happy because her nanny would spend the whole day playing after being left alone.
Many advised him to fire the nanny, because she seemed to be a person with admirable powers.
