Ruto made the promise after being asked by the Member of Parliament for Lang’ata Jalang’o in a video published on the president’s social networks.
In the hilarious video, Ruto, an Arsenal fan and Jalang’o, a fan of Manchester Unitedthey flirted before the President agreed to sponsor two fans for England.
Masagara and Idioty have gained huge followings online for their passion and love for Manchester United and Arsenal, respectively.
Jalang’o has since confirmed that Masagara will travel to Manchester to watch the Red Devils’ game against Liverpool at Old Trafford on May 2.
How much will Ruto spend to fund Masagara, Useful Idioty?
So, how much does it take to watch a Premier League game? We have calculated the number of players that Ruto will use to sponsor Masagara to Old Trafford and Uzee to the Emirates, respectively. We have focused this article on three main points: flights, accommodation and matchday tickets.

Flights to England
Ruto promised a business class ticket for both fans. A return business class ticket Kenya Airways from Jomo Kenyatta Airport to Heathrow Airport in London will cost more than KSh 629,035.

Watching a game at the Emirates Stadium costs more or less the same as Old Trafford, depending on the same factors.
For their next game against Chelsea on March 1, retailer website Stuthub has the cheapest tickets starting at €224 (KSh 33,900).
So, in total, Ruto will spend at least KSh 2.5 million to send Masagara and Idioty to England.
