The mourners did not walk in a single line; they scattered in different directions, which showed the seriousness of the situation that was endangering their lives.

Many people were seen covering different parts of their bodies, trying to protect them from the bee stings.

Surprisingly, very few lay down to let the swarm of bees pass.

There were no signs of first aid being given to help those who had already been bitten.

“Please call the fire department. People are being eaten by bees,” said an off-camera voice with a laugh.

“The funeral was stopped in Kibwezi after the bees attacked the mourners. The mourners were seen running for their lives. So far, it is not clear what caused the bees to start attacking,” said journalist Cillins Shityabai on his Facebook page.

What did other Kenyans say about the event?

Salome Nelima: “Because the one taking the video does not escape the bees, or how does he know about them.”

Brother Wilfred: “Why do you run away? There you are lying face down”

Stomach Collet: “Why are you making fun of me and we are sailing… where did the bees come from? Who didn’t want you there?”

Mourners run away with the coffin because of the dowry

In another case, brothers were forced to stop the burial of old man Gogo Nyahara due to an unresolved dowry dispute in the middle of Rumphi District, Malawi.

According to her family, Nyahara’s husband did not pay for one cow as dowry, which prevented her family from burying the mother.

Enraged by the chief’s decision to bury Nyahara in her husband’s village, her relatives hatched a plan to steal her body and take it with them.
