The family of a Nairobi businessman is now seeking justice after allegedly being attacked by his girlfriend with hot water and left with serious injuries.
Speaking in pain, Brendah’s sister said that her brother’s suffering began on Valentine’s Day night after an argument with his boyfriend.
They both resolved the conflict, and he thought that their relationship was fine.
“He also confirmed that there was no more problem. After that, he turned off the TV to rest and then decided to sleep a little,” Brendah explained.
However, while he was sleeping, Steve’s girlfriend allegedly doused him with hot water, leaving him with serious injuries.
“After attacking him, he stole his phones, leaving him alone in a dangerous situation. In addition, he also stole KSh 318,000. This was the money my brother received from his customers to buy equipment and send it as usual. He usually buys equipment from Eastleigh and sends it to his customers in Somalia and other parts of the country,” said the victim’s brother.
Brendah said that according to the information of M-Money of his brother, KSh 318,000 were sent to his girlfriend’s number before he ran away.
In addition to the dangerous health situation, the victim is now also crying about the huge financial loss suffered by the suspect.
“He has been doing this business for about five years, and his clients trust him because he has been honest. Unfortunately, on the same day the incident happened, KSh 318,000 was sent from my brother’s phone to his phone, according to M-Pesa. This has added to the difficulty of the situation because, apart from dealing with serious injuries and shock, he is now also facing a huge financial loss and the responsibility of explaining to his clients what happened,” said his sister.
