Ngong: CCTV Shows Women Stealing Inside General Store

Three elderly women were investigated by a shop in Ngong after security cameras caught them stealing on Thursday, February 19.

The women entered Optidrops Supermarket in the evening, taking advantage of the absence of staff in the product aisle to steal cooking oil.

They entered one by one to take what they aimed to steal, without anyone noticing at the time.

Considering the way they carried out their operation, the women seemed to have planned the silent robbery and coordinated their movements to avoid detection.

The first one, who was wearing a maroon floral dress, a white blazer and a red scarf, headed to the end of the aisle lined with food products.

He pretended to be looking for some product, then looked around the area to make sure no one was watching him.

He knelt down a little to pick up a container of cooking oil, put it in his bag and quickly left.

Then he followed the second woman, who looked a little younger than the first.

He wasted no time; he checked for security cameras, and after satisfying himself that none were watching him, he took two containers and put them in his bag before leaving shortly after.

The robbery spree ended with a third woman, who was wearing a white floral dress and a yellow blazer.

He headed towards the area while pretending to buy, looking around to make sure no one was looking at them.

He saw two containers, bent down to pick them up and put them in his bag before leaving the alley.

All the while, there was no employee manning the area, nor was there another customer shopping nearby.

According to the owner of the shop, the trio not only stole cooking oil but also other food and non-food items, including sanitary napkins.
