According to his neighbor, they woke up on Friday, February 20, with a bad smell that could not go away no matter how much they cleaned the area.
Speaking to Paxson TV, a neighbor, Wamaitha, said that he thought there was a dead mouse in the building and gathered all the neighbors to join the cleaning exercise, but all their efforts were unsuccessful.
“After cleaning and seeing no change, we called the owner of the house because a bad smell was coming from his house. The owner of the house came, and his house was opened. That’s when we found out that Monica is dead,” the neighbor said.
Wamaitha explained that two days had passed before he heard or saw the woman, before the tragic discovery.
“She was a good person who left every day and came back. But yesterday, we started wondering where she was because we hadn’t seen her for two days. Her phone was also switched off, which was strange, because she was a woman who liked to be online,” Wamaitha added.
Wamaitha said that although the cause of Monica’s death has not yet been determined, her body had serious injuries, especially on her face, as if she had been hit or hit by something.
Neighbors said they saw several strangers at his house, adding that one of them might have hurt him.
“She did not have a husband, and we have seen several male guests enter her home. I would advise everyone to be careful who they allow to enter their home, especially due to the lack of security in the country,” he added.
