Former senator-elect Millicent Omanga has made clear her intention to join Linda Mwananchi’s camp, led by the Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

A few days after praising the meeting of the movement which was held in Kitengela on Saturday, February 14, Omanga has announced his decision to be associated with the camp in future political events.
In a poster he shared on the internet on Thursday, February 19, the former MP indicated that he will join the team led by Sifuna in the much awaited Kakamega rally scheduled for Saturday, February 21.

Did Omanga join the Gachagua camp?
The move comes about two weeks after he hinted that he could join the camp Rigathi Gachagua.
On February 7, Omanga, known as Mama Miradi, met Gachagua at the wedding of former Trade Minister Moses Kuria’s brother, Aloise Kinyanjui.
It was in that event that he publicly criticized the President’s government William Rutowhich sparked mixed reactions and speculation about his next political move.
Gachagua invited him to join the DCP, and some Kenyans concluded that he was heading to the new party.
However, a few days later, he was attracted to Linda Mwananchi’s team and shared his political passion for the movement on social media, leaving his followers even more confused.
In the post, he declared Ruto, who used to be his political mentor, as a one-term president.
“No revolution please…There is no fear now…There is no turning back…Kaongo should go on walking. Kitengela power,” he said.
On Monday, February 16, Omanga shared another cryptic post on his Facebook page, leaving his followers guessing.

“CHANGE is inevitable,” he wrote.
Now the former senator has taken his political strategies further and publicly announced his intention to work with the camp led by Sifuna.
Other hard-line politicians in the camp include ODM Deputy Leader Godfrey Osotsi, Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino, Governor of Siaya James OrengoKisii Senator Richard Onyonka, and Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi, among others.
How did Kenyans receive the action of Omanga?
The announcement drew mixed reactions, as had its previous moves.
While some Kenyans welcomed him to the camp, others questioned his political stance and principles.
