His latest target to answer is the Kisumu women’s representative, Ruth Odingawho during a television interview denied knowing him.
Ruth said she never met Salah until the last days of Raila’s life.
At the same time, while admitting that Raila made many friends, some of whom were unknown to the family, Ruth criticized Salah for revealing his private conversations with Raila, possibly for the sake of fame.

However, it didn’t take long before Salah responded.
He said he has never forced a relationship with any member of Raila’s family, noting that his relationship was unique with the late politician.
“Let me be clear from the start: if you don’t want to be in a relationship with me, that is entirely your choice. I have never forced myself into your life nor have I ever sought your attention. My relationship was with your late brother, Father, and that relationship stood alone. It had nothing to do with any other family member,” he said.
Appearing to emphasize his popularity in Raila’s inner circle, Salah revealed that he was the one who arranged for Ruth to fly to India to join her brother.
He accused her of being wrong in her claims against him.
“For the record, I was the one who convinced Baba to allow you to join us in India, after Jeff Oyier called him several times saying that you want to come,” said Salah.
He also responded to Ruth’s claim that he is not a legitimate member of ODM, explaining that his recent activities in the name of the party are based on the goodwill and blessings of Raila when he was alive.
Salah reiterated that he comes from a well-established business family and therefore cannot have the desire to associate himself with the Odinga family for any reason.
“I come from a well-established business family. I am self-sufficient, and you know that. Whatever I did for ODM was not motivated by personal interest; it was done at the request of Father. ODM does not belong to you, nor to me, nor to any family. If so, let that be said clearly, and I will leave without hesitation. Father spent more than 20 years building ODM into a national party. It belongs to the people of Kenya, from every part of this country,” he said.
