It has emerged that the little girl identified as Verses Mwango started to get sick when he was only two years old, and his parents stood by him the whole time.
For the family, the journey has been long and painful, not to mention expensive, but nothing beats seeing their little girl back on her feet again.
“All my life you’ve been faithful, all my life you’ve been good to me,” sang little Ayana. “My name is Sophie Mwango, people who suffer from cancer think that death is approaching. I had just left work, my husband received an email and wrote to me, I cried for 10 days without eating, we were given two weeks to accept,” he said.

How did the Kilifi family handle the bills?
According to the family, the financial challenges were dire, but the county government, friends and family helped their daughter get treatment for a year.
“Our insurance was completed, and the county got KSh 1.7 million,” he said. “We had just started our lives, and he was an only child, so we were shocked; we had to grow up so fast,” he added.
Finally they got information that he had recovered after being treated for a whole year.
“I thank my mother and father and I thank God for taking care of me,” said the little girl. We thank God, and when he reached the age of nine, the cancer cells decreased. We used to go to the clinic twice a year, and it was reduced to once a year, and now we can only do it once,” Sophie said.
When you hear that you have cancer, just take it with hope and don’t stop treatment at any time.
“Baby Ayana is listed in the book of Cancer champions today after being diagnosed with Cancer when she was two years old”, said Hams Munga on his Facebook page.
