A fast rising influential man, Goliath of Bungoma whose real name is Isaac Otesa, has mended the strained relationship with Oga Obinnaa popular YouTuber.

The reunion comes more than a year after their heated meeting caused mixed reactions online.
What happened between Goliath of Bungoma and Obinna?
In late 2024, Goliath appeared on the Obinna Show Live, seeking help after moving from his village to the city in search of a better lifestyle.
At the time, the influencer, despite being famous online, was struggling with basic needs like finding a place to stay.
During the interview, Obinna scolded him, advising him to go back to the village if life in the city becomes too difficult, a comment that sparked backlash against him online.
Things have changed a lot for Goliath. After leaving the Obinna show, he was chosen by the city’s car dealers Car Soko as their brand ambassador.
In the past year, Goliath has grown a lot; he now owns a motorcycle, is building a three-bedroom house in his rural home, and has seen his influence on social media grow.

Did Bungoma Goliath and Obinna make peace?
Seeing his transformation, Obinna invited Goliath back to his show, this time accompanied by his manager and senior at Car Soko, Patrick Riang’a.
Goliath arrived wearing a sharp suit, very different from his appearance during the first interview.
During the meeting, Obinna commended Goliath for persevering instead of returning to the village as he suggested a year ago.
However, he did not apologize, explaining that his earlier words contributed to Goliath’s eventual success.
“Whatever happened that day in the interview, God was working. There was a reason for that. If I had apologised, it would have meant I wanted you to go back to the village, which obviously would not have brought you success. It worked in a way, and I hope you take it well,” Obinna said.
He added:
“I didn’t mean to disrespect you that day. I couldn’t do that to you then, so I told you to go home. The caterpillar is now a butterfly. God worked through Patrick, Car Soko, and your fans, and now things are good.”
Goliath echoed Obinna’s sentiments, expressing gratitude and saying that the strong opinion eventually opened doors for him.
“I have no ill will against you, and I cannot hate you. We did not fight or argue. Your words opened bigger doors for me. I did not even know if I could wear such clothes; now I receive everything from the company. I am just grateful. God bless you, Obinna,” he said.

Is Goliath of Bungoma married?
Goliath previously told TUKO.co.ke that he is happily married and is the father of three children.
He shared how his wife almost left him after his photos with the women of the town went viral.
In December 2025, his family even visited him at his home in Nairobi for the holidays.
