Kirinyaga – Sadness and mourning spread across the Tokyo village of Ndia following the brutal murder of a 40-year-old woman.

Citizen Tv reported that the body of Jane Wambui was discovered empty and dumped in a field, about five hundred meters from her compound on Sunday, February 8.
Where was Jane Wambui’s body found?
According to the victim’s brother, John Wachira, shoes left on the road are a sign that the criminal tried to cover up the crime.
The husband of the deceased, Simon Njiru, wants justice for his wife’s murder and alleged assault. The couple has experienced marital problems, after separating in October 2025.
“Whoever killed my wife must be arrested and prosecuted,” Njiru said.
The incident has surprised the residents of the village, with the locals expressing anger and disbelief, while many relatives described her as a happy and trustworthy woman.
“She is the happiest and most trusted woman in this village why have they killed her,” said her cousin Lewis Murage.
His friend revealed that he was with the deceased at the Baricho shopping center a few hours before he was killed by unknown people.
“I want to see the Wambui we were with in the Baricho market. We demand justice,” said the friend of the deceased.
The body of the deceased was moved to the Kibugi Mortuary while Baricho Police Station officers started an investigation into the incident.
The police called for calm, saying they will ensure that those responsible for the killing are arrested and charged in court.
Who killed Ann Muthoni Ngunjiri?
In other sad news, the police in Nairobi have launched an investigation following the brutal murder of a 23-year-old woman, in Mihango street in Kayole.
Ann Muthoni Ngunjiri was allegedly stabbed to death by her estranged boyfriend, an officer of the Police Division of GSU.
Citizen TV reported that Ann’s body was discovered on Monday, February 2, under the bed soaked in blood.
Kayole Police Commander Joseph Owuoth said the investigation has reached an advanced stage and that the suspect has already been identified as Benson Mutiso.
An autopsy conducted on Wednesday, February 4, confirmed that the cause of death was head injuries due to stabbing.
Was the Kericho Woman killed?
In another case, the police arrested a man following the murder of a woman in a lodge in Brooke Trading Centre, Kericho county.
The lodge staff found the body of a woman with stab wounds in the room on Tuesday, February 2, according to local residents and business operators.
Citizen TV reported that the woman was found in bed. Witnesses said that he had entered the guest house with three men on Monday night, but what happened next is still unknown.
