It is said that Nudhu died at the scene, while Maina was taken to Kiwanja Police Station, where officers advised him to rush the man to the hospital. Sadly, the 29-year-old man died while being taken to the Kenyatta University Referral Hospital.
The suspect recorded a statement to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation there Kasaraniclaiming the two were victims of mob justice.
However, the witnesses dispute this claim, saying that there was no right to the group of people and that the two were killed by the owner of the farm and his partner.
Detectives investigating the case have named a senior police officer, a sergeant, and a farm owner as prime suspects, as the investigation continues.
What did the autopsy report reveal about the murders that happened in Kahawa West?
Post-mortem results revealed that Maina and Nudhu suffered severe blunt force trauma to their heads, as well as multiple injuries to other parts of their bodies.
Activist Hussein Khalid, who was present during the autopsy at the Kenyatta Memorial mortuary, reported that the victims had undigested maize and green peppers in their stomachs.
Hussein noted that the two men appeared to be forced to swallow the substances shortly before they died.
