Machakos: Wiper Senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama has mourned the sudden death of her son, Moses Nduya Muthama.

Moses died on Wednesday evening, February 4, after a brief illness, as confirmed by the governor of Machakos Wavinya Ndeti.

How did Moses Nduya Muthama die?

Initial reports indicate that Senator Kavindu’s son collapsed after experiencing breathing problems and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

His death has shaken the family and caused an outpouring of condolences from leaders and Kenyans across the country. Moses was the only child of Senator Kavindu and former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama.

His body has been kept at the Machakos mortuary pending a post-mortem. This tragedy comes three years after the family lost another child, Janet Njoki, in 2022.

The late Moses was clearly seen in 2021 when he publicly and fiercely opposed the candidacy of his mother Agnes Kavindu during the Machakos Senatorial by-election.

How leaders mourned Moses Nduya Muthama

Leaders, including Kitui Senator Enock Wambua, described the tragedy as sad and offered a message of comfort to the family.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Machakos Senator, Hon. Agnes Kavindu Muthama and his family at this difficult time. I am very sorry to hear about the tragedy of your son, Moses Muthama. Please accept our sincere condolences. I am so sorry, Sir,” Wambua lamented.

When did Janet Nthoki Nduya die?

As previously reported, the President William Ruto he was among the leaders who sent a message of condolence to Muthama’s family, following the death of his daughter Janet Nthoki Nduya.

Nduya died on Friday, April 22, 2022 and was buried on May 2 at his home in Tala, Machakos county.

Ruto mourned Nduya as a hardworking, responsible and honest woman who will be remembered for her kindness and honesty.
