Johnson Muthama Weeps For His Son With Much Pain: “He Left Us Too Soon”

Nairobi – Parliamentary Services Commission Commissioner and former Machakos senator, Johnson Muthama, has written a touching tribute following the death of his son, Moses Nduya Muthama.

In his Twitter message, Muthama said the sudden death of his son, which happened on Wednesday, February 4, was heartbreaking for the family.

How Johnson Muthama mourned the death of his son

“It is with great sadness that we share the sad news of the death of our beloved son, Moses Muthama Nduya who died yesterday,” Muthama said on Thursday, February 5.

The former Machakos senator described his late son as a happy and hard-working young man, whose death was sad for the whole family.

“Moses was a happy and active young man, and it is painful that his life was taken so soon. Although our hearts are heavy, we entrust him to God’s loving care. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” said the former Machakos senator.

In a statement, the family said Moses suffered breathing problems and was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead while doctors tried to revive him.

Details of funeral arrangements have not yet been announced by the family.

In 2025, the family of Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi also mourned the death of their relative.

Elvis Murakana Namenya, one of the MP’s sons, was declared dead on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 a day after he was involved in a fatal road accident.

President William Ruto is among the Kenyan politicians who apologized to the ODM MP.

The head of state, while sharing in the grief of the bereaved family, gave a verse from the Bible to comfort them in difficult times.
