A Kenyan woman panicked after finding strange equipment in a maid’s bed

A Kenyan mother has expressed fear and stress after discovering strange things hidden under her maid’s bed.

The woman, called Carolyne (not her real name), said she was cleaning the room used by her domestic helper and the helper’s son when she found the strange items.

Shocked, he chose not to face his assistant immediately. Instead, he took pictures of the items and left quietly.

Carolyne later took to Facebook to seek advice, asking people if she should be worried and if anyone could recognize the strange things.

“What could this be? Is it something to worry about? If it’s medicine, why are they packaged like this? I haven’t asked him yet,” he wrote.

In the photo he shared, there was a white object that looked like ugali wrapped in a clear plastic bag.

It was attached to a black, leather-like, rectangular object, tied around with white buttons.

Next to it was another bright bag with a black glue-like substance, loosely tied with a message attached. The message read: “Cooking for three weeks, only in the morning.”

The discovery left people on the internet stunned, sparking mixed reactions.

People’s feelings about the case

People responded with mixed opinions, some dismissing the substances as natural remedies while others warned the woman to pray or seek clarification for the safety of her family.

Felicia Feli: “He has every right to check anything under his roof for the safety of his family, and the assistant’s health is also important. Ask yourself. Nowadays, even in these streets, many herbal medicines are used.”

In other scary news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a family in Machakos county expressed fear for their lives after discovering a strange ant.

The family, consisting of a mother and son, said the pot contained pieces of clothing with their names written on it.

They believe the object was spread by a close family member who was trying to cast a spell on them in connection with a land ownership dispute.
