Who is Paul Cracker Munyao?
The entertainer ruled dance floors in the 1980s and early 1990s with freestyle dancing and flawless soulful moves.
Known as the soul train dance, Cracker entertained Kenyans for more than four decades and even won major competitions, including the prestigious motorcycle award at the Boomerang Club in 1988.
What killed Paul Cracker Munyao?
The death of the popular entertainer was shared on social media by several of his fans, who referred to him as a founder.
Deejay Kareez shared a video of Cracker dancing, announcing his death. The disc jockey revealed that Cracker died after a brief illness.
He revealed that the dancer was expected to perform at the upcoming event scheduled for April 2.
“MidnightREVUE and all partners and fans would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the famous dancer Paul “Kracker” Munyao who passed away on Thursday after a short illness. The late Kracker as he was known to his fans was scheduled to perform at the upcoming “FLORIDA EXPERIENCE Event” at Carnivore on April 2. May his soul rest in peace,” he wrote.

DJ Crowbar passed away by his wife
In another statement, DJ Krowbar announced the death of his beloved wife, Joyce Wanjiru Karumba, popularly known as Joy.
The mother of three died 216 days later after her sister donated her kidney.
In a family statement, Joy developed complications after undergoing a kidney transplant in 2025, and on January 26, she died of kidney-related complications.
DJ Krowbar’s family has asked Kenyans to help give his wife a proper burial. The wife of a gospel disc jockey will be buried on Thursday, February 5, in Nyeri county. There will be daily prayer meetings at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, from 5pm, Tuesday, January 27, to Friday, January 30.
