Photos of Boy Lying on His Mother’s Grave Break People’s Hearts: “It Hurts”

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: Monica Agustino from Mzimuni Street, Kawe Ward, Kinondoni District, has claimed that the little boy seen standing and sleeping on his mother’s grave in the photo was accompanied by his brothers.

Speaking to GADI TV, Monica said the children’s mother died last year while she was drying clothes. The four children visited his grave on January 25, 2026.

Later, doctors explained that the cause of death of the woman who fell suddenly was related to high blood pressure.

“I am their aunt, and I live with them. The child went with his 20-year-old brother and his younger sisters, they said they were missing their mother. Their mother died last year while washing her child’s clothes around four in the morning,” he said.

Describing the incident of the death, Monica said:

“When he was drying clothes, the last piece of clothing was a mosquito net. When he threw the mosquito net over the rope, we saw him sway… he fell to the ground, started snoring with difficulty and foam started coming out of his mouth. We carried him and rushed him to Shamba Kawe Hospital, where we were told it was high blood pressure. A few minutes later, we were told that your brother had died.”

In addition, the child’s brother, who identified himself through their aunt’s phone, said the child slept on the grave when they were in the area.

The situation made them take memorable photos that later spread online and touched the hearts of many people.
