A famous businessman, the founder of Wambugu Apples, was recently involved in a tragic accident that claimed the lives of two people close to him.

He was traveling on the Nyeri-Nyahururu highway on the night of Monday, January 20, when his Toyota Prado Land Cruiser collided head-on with a Mitsubishi Canter truck.

Photos collected by TUKO.co.ke from the scene of the accident showed both vehicles badly damaged, showing the extent of the impact of the accident.

While Wambugu recovered with minor injuries, including bruises on his face, his driver Dominic and his personal assistant Terry wa Wambugu sadly lost their lives.

Dominic was buried on Monday, January 26, in an emotional funeral where Wambugu cried when he looked at his body. Terry’s funeral continues today, January 28, at their home in the village.

What happened at Terry’s funeral?

Somber scenes were witnessed as family, friends and mourners gathered to pay their last respects to Terry. Videos seen by TUKO.co.ke showed mourners looking at his body before the final funeral rites.

In one touching scene, one grief-stricken mourner was seen struggling to come to terms with Terry’s death as others held him and tried to comfort him.

Other mourners were seen holding their heads in shock, visibly shaken by the sudden loss of the young woman’s life.

Before the funeral, Wambugu shared a touching message mourning Terry: “Terry, I hope your soul can hear this — the love, the joy, the celebrations, and the journeys we took together, wooii. My friends and my followers, let me mourn until my heart is at rest.”

In other news, gospel musician Mr Seed survived a horrific road accident on New Year’s Eve and shared the experience with his fans online.

His Toyota Mark X car was badly damaged, including a broken wheel, a bent rear bumper, and a broken side mirror.

Witnesses explained that the bad condition of the road may have contributed to the accident, while others suggested that the other driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.
