In a social media post, he had described how he watched Raila struggle before his last breath.
For her part, Winnie dismissed Salah as a dishonest man who enjoyed his father’s death.
According to him, the man belongs to the police station or a mental hospital.
Salah did not let him lie down, responding, albeit in a restrained way.
How Oketch Salah responded to Winnie Odinga
He said he would not oppose Winnie just out of respect for his mother, Ida Odinga.
However, Salah defended his account of his relationship with Raila, promising to give an interview to reveal his truth.
“I watched last night’s interview on Citizen TV with Ivonne Okwara where Winnie spoke about me. Because of the respect I have for the Honorable Ambassador, Mama Ida Min Piny from Migori, I chose to remain silent. That was a deliberate decision. However, some things need clarity. I stand by everything I said about my last moments with Baba. Those moments were real, painful and lived. I will answer in the interview soon,” he said.
His Twitter message would prompt a response from Raila’s relative, this time, Raila Junior.
Junior dismissed Salah’s comments, replying with “nonsense”.
Salah was clearly visible last October when Raila was ill.
As rumors spread about Raila’s health, Salah came forward to post a photo of Raila in India, where it was discovered that he was receiving medical treatment.
Was Oketch Salah close to Raila Odinga?
After Raila’s death on October 15, 2025, allegations emerged that the man was the deceased’s foster child.
He even made a big appearance at the funeral of the former prime minister, with close family, at the national funeral in Nairobi and the funeral there BondoSiaya County.

While attending the wedding of Salah’s son, Oburu reflected on his (Salah’s) close relationship with Raila, admitting that he was a reliable person in the last days of the former ODM leader.
