He has clearly failed to agree with the group led by Embakasi Member of Parliament, Grandpa Owinowhich has been opposing the call of the National Delegates Conference (NDC) earlier.
“One of the core values of ODM is the leadership of party members. This is why it is a true party of the people, for the people,” Ruth said.
He denied suggestions that the NDC should be organized immediately.
“There has been a call for a meeting of National Representatives, as if all party organizations have been mentioned, but we must appreciate each other’s good positions and why they are all important,” he said.
Decision making system within ODM:
Ruth emphasized the importance of following the internal decision-making chain of the party, starting with the Central Management Committee (CMC).
*“The CMC is the engine room that deals with the policies of our party. It should develop policies for consideration by the *National Executive Committee (NEC),” he said.
Among the important issues discussed at the recent CMC meeting in Vipingo, Kilifi County, is the preparation for the 2027 general election and the possibility of collaborating with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
He emphasized that decisions must go from the CMC to the NEC, then the National Governing Council (NGC), and finally the NDC.
Did Ruth tell Wanga to organize the ODM NEC meeting?

He added that the NGC is a major governing body that supervises and directs the proposals before the NDC, the main body of the party, calls them through the review of the manifesto, confirms the law, and names the presidential candidate.
Ruth also called for unity and discipline, warning against informal conflicts within the orange party.
“We must avoid informal conflicts and return to formal, organized cooperation of our party organizations. This is the safest way to build a strong, united, and purposeful ODM,” he said.

Can Babu Owino be the leader of ODM?
TUKO.co.ke previously reported that the Member of Parliament for Suna East, Junet Mohamed, denied claims that Babu could lead ODM through the NDC.
Junet said that the internal structures of the party did not allow the transition despite Babu continuing to push the NDC.
Junet, who is the election director of ODM, admitted that although Babu has no legal means to become the leader of the party, he has a good chance of defeating the Nairobi Governor. Johnsonin the 2027 election.
