DJ Krowbar Speaks For The First Time After The Death Of His Wife Joyce Wanjiru: “Heartbroken”

DJ Krowbar, whose real name is Karumba Ngatia, has broken his silence following the death of his wife.

The famous gospel music DJ took to the internet to mourn his beloved wife, Joyce Wanjiru Karumba.

What caused the death of DJ Crowbar’s wife?

According to the information provided by his family, Joy as he was known by many died on January 26 at nine in the morning while receiving treatment in the hospital.

In the statement, the family explained that the mother of three died due to kidney related problems.

Wanjiru experienced health challenges after undergoing a kidney transplant in 2025.

“…he faced subsequent health challenges. Although the infection at the end of the year was under control, recent weeks brought other medical complications. He had been discharged home for the past two weeks before being readmitted for treatment,” read part of the statement.

DJ Crowbar mourns his wife

The father of three shared a family statement with a broken heart symbol.

“💔,” he wrote.

Media personalities and gospel musicians flooded DJ Crowbar’s post with messages of comfort.
