A woman from Kenya is distraught and heartbroken after discovering that her husband caused the pregnancy of their former domestic helper.

Anita (not her real name) turned to social media for advice on how to handle the situation.
She expressed her pain and disappointment to her husband as she explained how she was convinced to get rid of the assistant, who was working in their home.
How did Anita know that the former assistant was pregnant?
Looking at her husband’s phone, Anita came across a picture of her maid showing her pregnant belly.
“I discovered this picture on my husband’s phone, and when I looked at it carefully, I found out that the hands in the picture belong to my former domestic helper. This is the girl that my husband insisted I evict, claiming she was stalking him,” he said.
Anita immediately began her investigation to verify if her assumptions were correct.
Finally, she found out that her beloved husband was really the one who caused the helper’s pregnancy and even rented her a house in another city, far from their home.
“I feel like visiting her home to confront her, but I don’t have the courage. What should I do? Should I make her continue to marry now that they are ready to have a child?”
She also recalled confronting her husband about the issue, noting that he denied the pregnancy was his.
“If it’s not his, then why are they still in contact? I’m completely heartbroken, especially since I recently gave birth to his child,” said Anita.m
How did Kenyans respond after the husband made the helper pregnant?
Various people gave her advice, from accepting the situation to condemning her husband’s actions and encouraging Anita to focus on the interests of her children.

Charles Waweru:This was wrong from the start. Loyalty lacking with the house helper, weak excuses of love, renting him a house away from being together and trying to hide all the actions. Sometimes, there is not much to do except to talk openly, perhaps with an elder, parents, or a close friend. It seems the man was on this journey from the beginning. He wanted a domestic helper and he was ready to help him. There is no need to attack, let’s accept the situation as it is. Accepting does not mean justifying his actions, but for your peace of mind. I strongly reject his actions. He should have refrained from consorting with a girl, knowing that it would destroy his marriage and destroy his credibility. That was bad and shameful.”
Lazarus Migwi: “Things are lost on me. First, it was wrong to look at his phone. Second, work to rebuild his trust. Third, men are naturally polygamous. Fourth, if you have a heart and want to be avenged properly, try to accept the situation and you will see for yourself.”
