How the UDA said about the decision of the Supreme Court

He noted that the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties confirmed the decision of the ANC to destroy the party after the Special Congress of National Representatives confirmed the destruction.

Timamy said the damage was voluntary and was confirmed by the party leaders, explaining that what happened was not a union as said by the court.

“Clearly, what was done was a voluntary breach of the ANC party and its members, and therefore, the issue of the ANC party being merged with the UDA is not legally correct. Legally, there was no union between the two parties,” he said.

He added that all the assets that were owned by the ANC were transferred to UDA legally, and its members and leaders officially joined the UDA.

Timamy said the party will no longer participate in legal battles, saying the priority is to help Ruto get his second term. The deputy leader also said the case was closed without any member of the damaged party filing a complaint.

“There is no alternative structure, no conflicting claims, and no legal or operational ambiguity. As members of the UDA, our priority is to protect the integrity of the party, strengthen unity and motivate our members as we work sincerely towards the campaign of HE President Dr William Samoei Ruto. Our priority is still to implement the Bottom-Up Economic Agenda (BETA) and ensure real development for the people of Kenya,” said Timmy. said.

Reasons for the High Court to nullify the dissolution of the ANC

Judge’s Decision Luck A decision made on Thursday, January 22, ruled that the ANC is still a legally recognized party, and rejected the disruptive measures carried out the previous year as illegal.

The court noted that the reasons given for disbanding the union did not meet the legal criteria, thus removing the newspaper advertisement that approved the union, saying it was not legally acceptable.

The court also ordered the Registrar of Political Parties to return the ANC to the official register and return all assets transferred to the UDA, without anyone being allowed to handle the ANC’s assets until the decision is implemented.

The leadership seats were also rearranged, and deputy leader Timamy was appointed as vice-chairman, and Kelvin Lunani as vice-chairman, and Emuhaya MP Omboko Milema as assistant general secretary.

Mbarire added that ANC staff and offices were integrated into the UDA, and a committee was formed to oversee the integration process.

Activities after the union were planned to increase the number of members and strengthen the presence of the party nationally.

This union came after Stay Mudavadi transfer the leadership of the ANC to Timamy, and saw it as part of President Ruto’s larger strategy to strengthen his support before the 2027 elections.
