Before its official launch, the Democratic Party for the People (DCP) has been suffering from uncertainty due to the increase in celebrities moving and threats disrupting stability.
Angry MPs led by Githunguri MP Gathoni of Muchomba and Juja’s colleague George Koimburi recently withdrew from the party and publicly attacked it and accused its leader, Rigathi Gachaguafor treachery and dictatorial behavior.
The two from Kiambu follow a long list of other politicians, such as former Nyeri MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, who was previously Gachagua’s deputy adviser, who have pledged their allegiance to the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
