Oketch Salah has been active in ODM politics, where he has used his public appearances to inform members of the party about part of Raila’s demands.

Is Oketch Salah ready to reveal Raila’s last wishes?

Aware of the negative talks, Salah said he is ready for an interview to share the former ODM boss’ last wishes and to reveal details about their political and strategic talks.

“I am the one being accused, so I will answer directly and calmly. I am not afraid of investigation. I am ready and willing to be publicly questioned about these issues at any time, on any credible platform. The truth is not afraid of investigation,” he said, adding that his truth will not be for sympathy, importance, or political gain.

However, he insisted that he would not disclose their private conversation to Raila’s family out of respect while warning that ‘silence should not be mistaken for fear or lies.’

He emphasized that he has never claimed to take the place of Raila’s family nor disrespect his widow, Ida Odingaor his children.

“Any suggestion that I insulted them, isolated them, or badmouthed them is false and malicious. I completely reject it,” he said.

How did Salah respond to online criticism?

Salah further dismissed the online accusations as political and insisted that his presence in Raila’s life was in line with the former opposition leader’s understanding.

The entrepreneur emphasized that he stood firm with the responsibilities assigned to him throughout their relationship.

He rejected attempts to portray him as a criminal amid internal party disputes while insisting that he did not force himself into Raila’s inner circle.

“I stand firm with this truth and I will not be dragged into anger or manufactured distractions. What I will not accept is being turned into a convenient criminal so that others can fight internal wars or rewrite living history… Some things are not for noise, schedule, or propaganda. Pain deserves respect, not a spectacle,” he said.

Moreover, Salah insisted that he was with the former national leader in all his pain until his last hours.

“I was with Father Raila Odinga from when he first fell ill until his last moments on earth. I was with Father in all his pain. I know how it felt. There were times when I really thought I was losing him. Times when it was just me and one guard, holding Father, trying to calm him, trying to help him through the pain. This is not a story. This is a direct experience. For the record, that security officer was not Maurice Ogeta,” he said.
