On Tuesday, January 20, popular businesswoman Catherine Wambugu was involved in a fatal road accident that caused the internet to fear for her safety.

Wambugu, well known for his businesses, especially Wambugu Apples, disclosed the details of the accident on Facebook the morning after the incident.
According to Wambugu, the accident happened on the Nyeri-Nyahururu road.
He was driving a new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado when he collided head-on with a Mitsubishi Canter mini truck.
Wambugu survived with minor injuries, such as bruises and sores on his face, but two of his accomplices sadly died. The driver of the truck was also reported dead.
Pictures obtained by TUKO.co.ke showed extensive damage to both vehicles. Wambugu’s Prado, which was equipped with modern safety equipment, was badly damaged from the front driver’s side to the rear.
The entire roof broke off and was pulled back, taking the driver and passenger doors with it.
The airbags deployed, reflecting the force of the collision, while the passenger side remained almost unscathed except for the broken window.
The truck was also heavily damaged. The driver’s side was damaged, the door was missing, the windshield was broken, and the steering wheel and dashboard had fallen out.
A large part of the bumper was broken and the wheel under the driver’s seat was dislodged.
While in a hospital bed, Wambugu released a video message showing the bruises and sores on his face. He thanked the people who sent him messages of comfort while crying for the loss of his lost partners.

Was Mr Seed Involved in the Accident?
In other news, Gospel singer Mr Seed survived a road accident on New Year’s Eve.
The Toyota Mark X he was driving was badly damaged, with a smashed wheel, a dislodged rear bumper, and a broken side mirror after a collision on his way to an event.
Witnesses indicated that the accident was caused by poor road conditions and said the other driver involved may have been drunk.
