The party is meeting in Mombasa to evaluate activities eight months after its creation, and plan strategies for the next general election.

Gachagua led a group of aspiring politicians and parliamentarians present at the retreat.

“I am honored to welcome like-minded parliamentarians for a three-day retreat on the coast. We will have time to go through the year that was planned in advance for that year and August 10, 2027, when Kenya will be freed from the bad leadership we have,” Gachagua said.

Did Cleophas Malala attend the DCP meeting?

He has not been seen in recent Gachagua meetings either.

Gachagua tasked the organizing secretary of the party, Mithika Linturi, to take the attendees to the party’s strategic plan for 2026 in preparation for the 2027 vote.

“Our DCP secretary, Senator Mithika, will guide members in planning for the year. Failure to plan is planning to fail,” he said.

In a group photo taken on the sidelines of the rally, Malala could not be seen.

Questions abounded about Malala’s whereabouts and her future in the party.

Is Gitonga Mukunji in the Gachagua camp?

The MP for Manyatta denied allegations that indicate he intends to separate from Gachagua and DCP.

The rumors came after the departure of Juja MP George Koimburi and Gathoni Wamuchomba of Githunguri.

With Mukunji seen as the center of the group, rumors had spread that he was considering alternative political options.

However, he denied the allegations, accusing the former Member of Parliament for Gatundu South Moses Kuria by running that narrative.

Mukunji stressed that his political position was rooted in principle rather than personal ambition or alignment with President William Ruto’s administration.

The MP pointed out that he had consistently stood with the peopleciting his opposition to the 2024 Finance Bill and his vocal support for youth even amid abductions, which had led to him being branded a terrorist.
