Miriam Chemutai died just days before the school opened for the new year, leaving her family, friends, and the school community shocked and saddened.

When did Chemutai die?

The girl died while being rushed to the hospital for treatment, a relative of the family told TUKO.co.ke with painful feelings.

Samwel Maritim said the family still cannot accept the loss of the promising student, who died on Saturday, January 10.

“The vacation was long, and a lot of things happened during that time. She was in a relationship, and later we found out she was pregnant. We don’t want to jump to conclusions about whether she was sad or something else that caused her to die. We suspect the father of the child, but we haven’t followed it up fully yet,” he said.
