Sanduku said Joel brought his purchases to the family and shortly after left home to meet a few friends in the village, not knowing that he would not return home alive.

“I got information that my son was lying in front of a bar within 30 minutes after leaving home. I went to the area and found him unconscious,” he said.

He said knowing what happened will help the family know the next step.

I am asking the governor to help us with the funeral expenses. I am also asking the government to investigate this particular bar. It is not the first time that someone has died there. People have reported deaths linked to the same bar, but it ends there. No investigation is done,” he said.
