Nairobi – Safaricom has made it easy for candidates to receive their 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results.

On Friday, January 9, President William Ruto he was informed about the results of the exam by the Minister of Education Julius Ogamba.
How many KCSE 2025 candidates scored C+ and above?
Ruto revealed that out of 993,000 candidates, 50% of whom were girls, 270,000 scored C+ and above, thereby gaining direct entry to university.
Kenya Examinations Council (KNEC) Executive Director David Njengare said a total of 993,226 candidates passed the 2025 KCSE examination in 10,765 secondary schools; male candidates were 492,019, while female students were 501,215.
How to get KCSE result 2025 through SMS
While Kenyans wait for the official results, Safaricom has shared a code that candidates can use to get their personal results.
In a Twitter message, Safaricom indicated that candidates need to send their index number to 20076, and each SMS will cost KSh 25.
“Congratulations KCSE Class of 2025. You have done it. To check KCSE result, send your index number to 20076. Each SMS costs 25/-. Congratulations to all of you. KCSE results immediately. Just send your index number to 20076,” Safaricom said.
