The young man is currently undergoing treatment at Murang’a Level 5 Hospital, where he continues to receive treatment, surrounded by his loved ones.

Pastor Irungu collapsed after 79 hours and 40 minutes in his 80 hour tree hugging marathon. He is currently in good condition.

What did Truhena say about the Irungu experiment?

At one point, Kenyans accused him of trying to emulate Truphena Muthoni for his 72-hour challenge, but he publicly showed solidarity by visiting him where he was hugging a tree in Murang’a.

In photos shared online, Irungu is seen at Murang’a Hospital Level 5, where his loved ones were surrounded and he looked very tired.

Earlier, her sister had shed tears after watching her brother hug the tree for all those hours, and many people came out to comfort her.
