MCA stands up, and Babu pushes him, before Alai retaliates with equal force.
They drag each other, much to the surprise of others around the table, who also get up to intervene.
How Alai caused panic with his pistol
At the same time, the commotion attracts the attention of other customers at the station, who gathered to witness the conflict.
As the struggle escalates, Alai appears to pull out a gun, a move that causes patrons to comb the park in fear.
MCA, however, is stopped by his friends, where one of them, a police officer, takes the pistol.
They are calmed down and sit in the gazebo, perhaps to negotiate a truce, before Alai stirs up another ruckus.
He takes a glass of water and pours it on Babu’s face.
The commotion continued for a while before it died down, Babu leaving the scene with two people.
This incident is currently being investigated by detectives from the Kilimani Police Station. The weapon has been seized by detectives as evidence.
How Babu Owino said about the incident
In a long statement posted on Facebook explaining the confrontation, the member of parliament Embakasi Mashariki explained that he took himself to a restaurant, where he interacted for a short time with a religious leader who was not aware of the events that began to happen.
As he was getting ready to leave, he saw familiar people sitting nearby and went to greet them, then realized that Alai was among them.
According to the MP, Alai got excited when he saw him and started an argument, accusing him of continuing online attacks against his wife through his followers.

Babu explained that he tried to answer calmly, insisting that he does not know Alai’s wife, has no quarrel with her, and would not involve the family in political conflicts.
The situation got worse when Alai silenced Babu, threatened him with a weapon and hit him on the chest and forehead in front of other customers.
Despite Babu’s call for calm, the MCA continued his actions, immediately splashing water on his face.
Realizing that the argument would not end, Babu left the area and went to the Kilimani Police Station to file an official complaint.
The member of parliament explained that the hatred stems from his political position against the current administration and asked the investigators to investigate the incident in detail and take appropriate action against Alai.
