What did Salah say about Edwin Sifuna?
Elsewhere, Salah recently claimed that the former Prime Minister once warned him to become a Nairobi Senator, Edwin Sifunawas a political traitor within the ODM party.
Speaking at an event in Rarieda, Salah claimed that Raila was closely monitoring the movements of the senator, which seemed to indicate that he was working for outside political interests.
These accusations come at a time of internal conflict within the party, following Sifuna’s open opposition to ODM’s collaboration with the President’s government William Ruto as well as his disagreement in public with party elders.
Salah also claimed that Sifuna’s recent actions, including threats to quit the party and what he described as disrespect for leadership, have confirmed Raila’s long-standing doubts about his loyalty.
However, Kisumu County Women’s Representative, Ruth Odingadenied the claims saying it was a lie aimed at causing divisions within the ODM party.
He emphasized that Raila was a sincere leader who spoke his thoughts in public instead of hiding doubts, and explained that Sifuna was treated as a “son” of the former Prime Minister and had complete freedom to reach him.
