Did Junet cost Raila the presidency in 2022?
However, in a series of Twitter messages on Sunday, January 4, Kanchory said Junet has no moral authority to talk about how Raila lost the 2022 election.
Kanchory claimed that the Suna East MP single-handedly cost Azimio the presidency, and that even Raila died knowing that.
“I repeat, Junet Mohamed cannot talk about 2022. Let him talk about anything other than 2022. Raila Odinga himself knew that Junet Mohamed almost single-handedly cost him the 2022 election, and he told me the same. The only reason Raila retained him and even promoted Junet is because he was planning to sell (the bitter truth) and he needed a broker, and Junet is the best broker that money can buy – pun intended,” Kanchory said.
He further narrated how Junet allegedly kept the former prime minister away from the command center for selfish reasons.
Why did Kanchory blame Junet Mohamed?
“It was you, Junet, who kept Raila away from the command center for reasons that you knew well at the time and which are now clear to all. It is absurd to suggest that Raila had blocked access to the command center. Yes, he came a few times but not because he could not. When I insisted that Baba must join us and get a deep sense of what was going on, you Junet told me that Baba was too busy and could not be involved or bothered with ‘little things like the issue of agents,” he demanded.
Kanchory claimed that Junet prevented him and the ODM CEO, Oduor Ong’gwen, from setting up the alternate agent management system and the counting station.

Speaking in Murang’a on Saturday, January 3, Sifuna claimed that the Suna East MP mismanaged the money given by Uhuru.
According to Sifuna, Junet never used the funds allocated for agents, which contributed to Raila’s defeat.
