On Saturday, January 3, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna he strongly criticized the minority leader of the National Assembly Junet Mohamed.

The head of ODM ignored the claims of some leaders of the Orange party that the former president Uhuru Kenyatta he never supported Raila’s campaigns.
Sifuna claimed that the money given by the former president was not sent to the party or its agents and that it was Junet who mismanaged the money to enrich himself.
“Uhuru Kenyatta helped us a lot. Most of the money we were spending during the campaign came from Uhuru. I know the money we spent for the campaign came from Uhuru Kenyatta. You took that money, failed to send it fully to the party and ate some of it instead of paying the agents,” Sifuna claimed.
Is Edwin Sifuna afraid to leave ODM?
He also dismissed allegations of intimidation, insisting that no one can expel him from ODM, and confirmed that Raila never endorsed the President’s ambition William Ruto re-elected.
“You cannot threaten me. No one can expel me from ODM. Raila never said we should support Ruto; he told me clearly, Kasongo must return home in 2027,” he said.
The Nairobi speaking senator further declared that he will not allow anyone to dictate who his friends or enemies should be.
He emphasized that Western Kenya is still “wantam” and pointed out that the areas that supported the former prime minister are not getting tired of the current leadership.

“I will never allow people to choose my friends or enemies. If you have a problem with someone, that is your personal issue. I want to tell you that the West is ours, and I am telling you as the SG of ODM that all areas that supported Raila are tired of Kasongo,” he added.

Earlier, the ODM secretary general was attacked again and again by young political activist Kasmuel McOure.
A young activist accused Sifuna of failing in his position and deviating from the basic values of the Orange party.
In a widely circulated video, Kasmuel criticized Sifuna as ineffective, divisive, and out of touch with the ODM leadership.
He warned that Sifuna’s recent behavior could harm the party as it enters a challenging election cycle following the departure of Raila, saying that the senator has prioritized public appearances and groups over his administrative duties and party unity.
