Former Minister of Gender, Culture, Arts, and Heritage, Aisha Jumwa Katana, has sadly announced the death of her mother.
He revealed that Mama Sidi Karisa Katana died on Sunday, December 28, after a short illness.
In an emotional statement, Jumwa, who is currently the chairman of the Kenya Roads Board, described his mother as “the pillar and light that guides the family.”
“He touched many with love, kindness, personality, and goodwill. His presence was of great value to us, and his memory will live forever in our hearts,” he added.
Jumwa announced that the funeral will be held on Monday, December 29, at his home in Takaungu, Mnarani Zone, Kilifi North State, Kilifi County, starting at 4pm.
Former Minister of Shipping, Hassan Johojoined Jumwa in mourning.
He offered his condolences, describing Mama Sidi as “a unique woman of great influence, strength, and grace, whose legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication will live on.”

Joho wished comfort to the bereaved family, asking God to grant them peace during this difficult time.
