Former author of Citizen TV announced the death of Mwangi Maribe on Monday, December 22after a long illness.

The heartbroken daughter shared an emotional condolence showing their close relationship and his unwavering support during her early challenges.

Mzee Maribe gained public acclaim for his steadfast support during Jacque’s 2018 trial related to the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

He appeared frequently in court, comforting his daughter in prison, shielding her from the media, and ensuring her well-being, which earned her a reputation as a model parent who continued to be with her in difficult times.

What are the details of Jacque Maribe’s father’s funeral arrangements?

On Friday, December 26, Jacque posted an obituary on his social media and wrote the date of the funeral, also adding a request for financial support.

“We are grateful to announce the death of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, female relative, friend, Sir, and patriot, Mr. Maribe Mwangi. He passed away peacefully after a long illness that he blessed with courage,” he said.

Jacque said that the memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 28, starting at 4 am at the Worldwide Gospel Church, Buruburu.

The author added that there are daily meetings at his father’s residence in Buruburu and Castle Garden starting at 11 pm.

“Meetings are also going on in his village house in Gathaithi.”

Maribe will be buried on Wednesday, December 31, at his home in the countryside.

“Maribe was ill for a long time and was frequently discharged from the hospital, which placed a heavy financial burden on the family. We humbly ask for your prayers and financial support so that we can give our honorable man a dignified burial. Financial donations should be sent to Paybill number: 4813691, Account: Your Name.”
