The 41-year-old deceased was working in an entertainment area in Machakos as a bouncer, and the incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, December 25.
It was found that the victim was shot four times in the body during the confrontation and died on the spot.
According to DCI of Machakos Town Sub-County, Nzyoka Singi, the dispute started when the bouncer allegedly used a lot of force to get out the woman who was accompanying the suspect.

This prompted the suspect to pull out a pistol and shoot the bouncer, killing him.
Police recovered one pistol and 12 bullets at the scene from a licensed firearms owner. The couple was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
The body of the deceased was taken to the mortuary.
“When we arrived, we found the owner of the bar had already written a statement, but we were not allowed to write anything. Then we called the DCI officer, but he said he was at church,” said a family member who was in pain.
“We have heard rumors that the person who committed the crime is a police officer, and we are asking the police and IPOA to deal with this case because something is being hidden. We want justice. The body is lying in the ground, and we need to move it to a better facility,” he added.
